How do I look after myself and others at university?

We know student life isn’t stress-free, and we’re here to help. From managing your work-life balance to mindfulness and staying connected to others, we’ve got resources to support your wellbeing at university.

We have partnered with Health Assured and Endsleigh to provide you with a dedicated Student Wellbeing helpline, available to all of our residents. This service has been accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. If you want to find out more about this service, you can do so here or through your account on the Unite Students app.

Your mental health is important, and there’s always support available if you need it. We partner with Student Minds, who are the UK’s student mental health charity and have lots of resources available. There’s urgent help if you need it, general support for you and support if you’re worried about a friend.

There’s also a really useful search tool which you can use to find resources at your university, they often have specialist advisers who can support you with advice or targeted help.

We’re always here to listen, whether you just want to chat or need to know where you can access the help you need. Our teams on the ground can signpost you to services in your city and university, and some are specially-trained. They are supported by our dedicated Student Support Team, working closely with your university ensuring that you receive the right level of support for any challenges you may be facing.
